हिमाचल प्रदेश के मनाली से लगभग 51 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित रोहतांग पास (Rohtang Pass) एक ऐसा स्थान है जहाँ हर मौसम में बर्फ़ की सफ़ेद चादर देखने को मिलती है। यह जगह समुद्र तल से 13,058 फीट की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है और इसे “स्नो पॉइंट ऑफ हिमाचल” के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

मणिकरण साहिब हिमाचल प्रदेश के कुल्लू जिले में पार्वती घाटी (Parvati Valley) के किनारे स्थित एक प्रसिद्ध तीर्थ स्थल है। यह समुद्र तल से लगभग 1760 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है और यहाँ का वातावरण श्रद्धा और प्राकृतिक सुंदरता दोनों से भरा हुआ है।यह स्थल सिखों और हिंदुओं दोनों के लिए पवित्र माना जाता है और यहाँ हर साल लाखों श्रद्धालु दर्शन के लिए आते हैं।

मणिकरण साहिब गुरुद्वारा का इतिहास गुरु नानक देव जी से जुड़ा हुआ है। माना जाता है कि वे अपने शिष्य भाई मरदाना के साथ यहाँ आए थे। एक बार भोजन पकाने के लिए आग न मिलने पर, गुरु नानक देव जी ने एक चट्टान उठाई और वहीं से गर्म पानी का झरना फूट पड़ा।उस झरने के पानी में भोजन पकाया गया और तभी से यह स्थान चमत्कारिक और पवित्र माना जाने लगा।

हिंदू धर्म में भी मणिकरण का विशेष स्थान है। कथा के अनुसार भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती यहाँ कई वर्षों तक रहे थे। एक दिन पार्वती जी की मणि (कीमती रत्न) नदी में गिर गई, जिसे ढूंढते समय भगवान शिव क्रोधित हो उठे और तभी धरती से गर्म जल का फव्वारा फूट पड़ा। तभी से इस स्थान का नाम पड़ा “मणिकरण”, यानी “मणि निकलने का स्थान”।

मणिकरण के गर्म पानी के झरने (Hot Springs) यहाँ का मुख्य आकर्षण हैं। इन झरनों का तापमान इतना अधिक होता है कि इनमें चावल और दाल तक पकाई जा सकती है।कहा जाता है कि इस जल में औषधीय गुण हैं जो त्वचा रोगों और अन्य शारीरिक समस्याओं को ठीक करने में मदद करते हैं। श्रद्धालु यहाँ स्नान करके आध्यात्मिक और शारीरिक शुद्धि का अनुभव करते हैं।

हिमाचल प्रदेश के सुंदर शहर मनाली में स्थित हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर (Hidimba Devi Temple) धार्मिक आस्था और प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य का अद्भुत संगम है। यह मंदिर मनु मंदिर से लगभग 2 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर, देवदार के घने जंगलों के बीच स्थित है। हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर को स्थानीय लोग “ढुंगरी मंदिर” के नाम से भी जानते हैं।

महाभारत काल में हिडिम्बा एक राक्षसी थी, जिसका भाई हिडिम्ब था। जब पांडव वनवास के दौरान मनाली क्षेत्र में आए, तब भीम ने हिडिम्ब का वध किया और बाद में हिडिम्बा से विवाह किया। इसी कारण हिडिम्बा देवी को आज भी शक्ति स्वरूपा के रूप में पूजा जाता है। उनके पुत्र “घटोत्कच” महाभारत के वीर योद्धाओं में से एक थे।

हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर का निर्माण 1553 ईस्वी में राजा बहादुर सिंह ने करवाया था। यह लकड़ी से बना चार मंजिला मंदिर है, जिसकी छतें पगोडा शैली में हैं। मंदिर की दीवारों पर लकड़ी की सुंदर नक्काशी की गई है, जो हिमाचली कला का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है।

मंदिर के चारों ओर ऊँचे-ऊँचे देवदार के पेड़ और बर्फ से ढकी पहाड़ियाँ इसकी सुंदरता को और भी मनमोहक बना देती हैं। यहाँ की शांति, ठंडी हवा और आध्यात्मिक वातावरण पर्यटकों को दिव्यता का अनुभव कराता है।

हर वर्ष मई माह में यहाँ हिडिम्बा देवी मेला आयोजित किया जाता है, जिसमें स्थानीय लोग और पर्यटक बड़ी संख्या में शामिल होते हैं। यह मेला हिमाचली परंपरा और संस्कृति का सुंदर दर्शन कराता है।

हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर मनाली बस स्टैंड से लगभग 1.5 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। यहाँ आप पैदल, टैक्सी या ऑटो से आसानी से पहुँच सकते हैं।

हिडिम्बा देवी मंदिर घूमने का सबसे अच्छा समय मार्च से जून और अक्टूबर से जनवरी के बीच है, जब मौसम सुहावना और दृश्य अत्यंत मनमोहक होते हैं।
